Title: "Mobility in Data Networking: Challenges and Opportunities"
Speaker: Dr. Kyunghan Lee (KAIST, Korea)
Date: March 31 (Wed) 11:00am

Abstract: Data networking while we are moving provides a lot of challenges. However, it also gives us new opportunities, where a well-known example is the preservation of throughput in large scale networks by GrossGlauser and Tse. This talk is about recent research efforts to overcome challenges due to mobility and furthermore exploit opportunities there.

Bio: Kyunghan Lee received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 2002, 2004 and 2009 respectively. He is currently a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at KAIST. He has published Infocom papers related to mobility through 2008~2010. His research interests are in the areas of human mobility, delay tolerant networks, context-based services extracted from mobility and system, wireless mesh networks and systems for mitigating data explosion in cellular networks.
